Action for Shea Parklands

Canonical Initiative

Preserving West African Parkland Ecosystems

Action for Shea Parklands (ASP) is the flagship environmental initiative established by the Global Shea Alliance to counter the widespread degradation of shea tree landscapes. Spanning across 36 countries, our core mission is to protect existing wild shea trees, plant millions of new seedlings, and secure long-term sustainability for rural women collectors.

By uniting commercial stakeholders, local farming communities, and conservation partners, ASP ensures that the shea value chain remains environmentally resilient and economically empowering for generations to come.
